Why Practice Them

Keyboard shortcuts are the biggest APM boost you can get. A player who uses hotkeys executes orders 2-3x faster than one who clicks HUD icons. In competitive matches those milliseconds add up and make the difference between winning and losing.

Mastering shortcuts requires no special talent -- just repeated practice. Spend 5 minutes a day in the Trainer and within a week they will be automatic.
